Sales OS is not a template pack

It is a complete AI sales consultant that lives on your computer. You give it your business context. It builds your entire LinkedIn and email outreach system - personalized to your market, your offer, and your voice.

It does not give you advice. It does the actual work: writes your DM scripts, builds your email sequences, rewrites your LinkedIn profile, designs your follow-up cadences, and creates your automation plan.

The 37 skills are organized into 6 phases. Each phase builds on the previous one. You go through them in order, and by the end you have a fully built outreach machine.

What it replaces:

A sales consultant who charges $5,000+ to audit your outreach, rewrite your copy, and build your pipeline. Sales OS does the same work - but it is free, instant, and personalized to your specific business.

What you need: Claude Code (free to install) and about 2 hours to go through the full system. You can also do it in chunks - one phase at a time.

Download Sales OS

Two options depending on your comfort level. Both get you the same files.

Download as ZIP
  1. Go to github.com/shreyvaughn/sales-os
  2. Click the green "Code" button near the top right
  3. Click "Download ZIP" from the dropdown
  4. Find the downloaded ZIP in your Downloads folder and unzip it (double-click on Mac, right-click > Extract on Windows)
  5. Move the unzipped folder somewhere you will remember - your Desktop or Documents folder works fine
Note: The folder will be called something like salesOS-lm-main. You can rename it to just salesOS-lm if you want. The name does not matter - what is inside does.
Clone with Git
  1. Open your terminal
  2. Navigate to where you keep projects: cd ~/projects (or wherever you prefer)
  3. Clone the repo:
git clone https://github.com/shreyvaughn/sales-os.git
  1. Done. The folder salesOS-lm now exists in your projects directory.

Set up Claude Code

Claude Code is a free tool from Anthropic that lets Claude work with files on your computer. Here is how to install it.

What is Claude Code? It is a terminal-based tool that lets Claude read, write, and edit files directly. When you point it at the Sales OS folder, Claude reads all 37 skill files and becomes your AI sales strategist. No browser needed - it runs right in your terminal.
Mac Setup
  1. Open Terminal (press Cmd + Space, type "Terminal", hit Enter)
  2. Install Claude Code with this command:
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code
  1. If you get a "npm not found" error, install Node.js first: go to nodejs.org, download the LTS version, install it, then try step 2 again
  2. Navigate to your Sales OS folder:

  1. Launch Claude Code:

  1. First time? It will ask you to log in with your Anthropic account. Follow the prompts - takes 30 seconds.
  2. Once you see the Claude prompt, you are ready. Skip to Your First Conversation.
Windows Setup
  1. Open PowerShell or Command Prompt (press Win + R, type "powershell", hit Enter)
  2. Install Claude Code:

Your first conversation

Once Claude Code is running inside the Sales OS folder, here is exactly what to do.

Claude reads the CLAUDE.md file automatically and becomes your sales strategist. It will welcome you and immediately ask for your business context.

2. Share your business context

Claude will ask you three things to start:

1. What does your business do? What do you sell? 2. Who do you sell to? (industry, company size, titles) 3. What does your current outreach look like?

Answer these and Claude has enough to start building. You can paste your website URL, a pitch deck, or just describe it in plain English. The more context you give, the better the outputs.

3. Let it build your foundation

Claude runs the first 5 skills automatically - building your business intelligence layer, ICP, positioning, competitive map, and asset audit. This takes about 15-20 minutes of back-and-forth.

After the foundation is complete, Claude presents your personalized roadmap: what to build next, in what order, with estimated time for each. You choose where to go from there.

4. Go through each phase

From here, you work through the phases. Claude does the heavy lifting - you review, give feedback, and approve. Example outputs you will get:

Claude audits your current profile, scores every section, then rewrites your headline, about section, experience, and featured - all optimized for your specific ICP. It explains every change it made and why.
